Participant Resources · Brief No. 3

Your Rights and Safety

Every person who takes part in a Clinical Study Brief study is a volunteer, and volunteers have rights. Understanding them helps you participate with confidence.

Your core rights

  • The right to decide freely whether to participate, without pressure.
  • The right to clear, understandable information about the study.
  • The right to ask questions at any time and receive honest answers.
  • The right to privacy and confidentiality of your personal information.
  • The right to withdraw at any time, for any reason, without penalty.

Independent oversight

Our studies follow recognized clinical research standards and are reviewed by an independent ethics review board. The board's role is to look out for participants — reviewing study plans, consent materials, and safety procedures before a study begins and periodically while it runs.

Safety throughout the study

Our research team monitors participant wellbeing at every visit. If you notice anything unusual or feel unwell, let your coordinator know right away; you'll have contact details for the team throughout the study. Your safety always comes before the study itself.

Protecting your information

Information collected during a study is stored securely and used only for the purposes described in your consent form. Study records are typically coded so that your name is not attached to your study data. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.
